PROJECT INFORMATION

For a year, Republic Urban Properties (Republic) has engaged with the West Portal community to receive public input for the proposed Pacific Park residential community. We are proud to unveil our latest project details and design which incorporates many of the concerns local residents raised about the previously proposed design.

The Site
rendering 5Pacific Park is an 11.6 acre site located at 445 Wawona Street and 19th Avenue in the West Portal neighborhood of San Francisco. The site is currently home to the Arden Wood Christian Science residential and nursing facilities, which is owned and operated by Arden Wood Inc. Of the eleven plus acres, Arden Wood, Inc. is in the process of selling 4.6 acres to Republic Urban Properties to develop a residential project on the western portion of the property facing 19th Avenue. Upon completion, the proposed development will have 141 units, including:

  • 112 Pavilion condominium units, located in four buildings, with an average maximum height of 40 feet each
  • 8 Terrace (ground level) and three bedroom units
  • 20 renovated units, which will be built within an existing building already on the property
  • 1 renovated director’s house

rendering 2Green Design-LEED Certification
To maintain the beauty of the unique urban forest landscape, Pacific Park will preserve as many trees as possible, and upon completion will plant additional trees and shrubbery throughout the entire development.

The rooftops of the four Pavilion buildings will be transformed into roof gardens, which will help enhance the view for our neighbors and provide a tranquil place for our residents to enjoy. In addition, Pacific Park will be constructed within the guidelines set out by the US Green Building Council to receive LEED certification, which will help ensure the long-term sustainability of this project.

The Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Green Building rating system is set by the US Green Building Council. LEED certified buildings must meet numerous benchmarks in the design, construction, and operation of the building. Pacific Park will comply with these standards to qualify for LEED Certification.

Community Benefits
The proposed Pacific Park residential development will be a great addition to the West Portal community. Since the early design phases of this project, we have been working with the community to create a project that will be the right fit for the neighborhood. Currently and in the remaining phases of the planning process, Republic will continue to engage the community and respond to any concerns local residents have with the project.
